President Obama has officially stated that US Special Forces DID kill Bin Laden. After 10 years of hiding, Bin Laden has been found and put to ‘justice’ as stated by Presiden Obama. Bin Laden was killed in a mansion outside of the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. Some of Bin Laden’s family members were killed during the firefight in the said mansion. It is also said that Bin Laden’s body is within the possession of the American (for those that were wondering).
During President Obama’s press statement, he stated once again that America’s war is with terrorism, NOT Muslims. He also stated that Bin Laden wouldn’t be called a Muslim leader, as he is the person that caused the deaths of thousands of Muslims.
Is the war against terrorism over? No. It is FAR from over. There are still extremists groups awaiting their chances to strike back. One of them including Al-Qaeda. Even though their leader has been killed, Al-Qaeda still exists. The American State Department issued a worldwide warning regarding a terror in response to Bin Laden’s death.
Though we are joyful because of one death, is it possible that this one death has caused the force of terrorism to become stronger (as hinted by the American government, issuing the warning worldwide)? We hope peaceful tides are on its way.
